Former Mutawalli of Yousufain Dargah detained
Nampally : Former Mutawalli of Yousufain Dargah who attempted to take out procession without police permission was detained and later was sent to central prison.
According to police, SI V Shekar along with constables were performing bandobast duty for annual Urs of Dargah Yousufain. On the intervening night of August 7 and 8, former Mutawalli Mohammed Faisal Ali Shah along with his associates came with a procession without permission.
"When the police officers asked about the permission, he obstructed our duties, when the police officers tried to stop him, he drove his Range Rover vehicle in rash and negligent manner.
Later, the police officers chased and caught hold him at Banjara Hills Road No.12 along with his two of his associates Syed Azaruddin and Md. Amer and registered a case and remanded them to judicial custody and lodged them in central prison," informed police officials.
Earlier, when he tried to participate in another procession, Habeebnagar police put him under house arrest. He continues to claim the position of Sajjada of the Dargah located in Nampally.
