Fair price shop dealers' body seeks release of commissions

Bagh Lingampally: Fair price shop dealers association of Hyderabad held its meeting here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Monday. Addressing the meet, the association state president Koti Raju demanded that the State and Central governments pay their commissions as recommended in Food Security Act 2013 immediately.

He said the dealers have been facing difficulties to keep food grains in their shops as the Telangana government has issued orders to take all the items once in a month. He requested the government to take items in phases as they used to do in the past.

Though transparency improved after introducing online portability method in the State, the situation of dealers, however, got worsened, he said. Ration shop dealers have been eagerly waiting for the Chief Minister to act on their issues, as he had promised during the recent assembly sessions, he said.

The meeting, which was presided by Vallala Pramod Yadav, was attended by the honorary president of the association Gaddam Mallesh Goud, and other association leaders Janakiram, Shravan, Prakash, Sonu Bhai, Chandulal and others.
