Fellowships to scholars demanded

Osmania University: Research students under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took out rally from Arts College to Administration Building on Wednesday demanding national fellowships.

They said every research student should be granted fellowships in order to get quality research. "SC fellowships aren't released for four years. Students of Telugu states have been cheated on OBC fellowships.

The OBC fellowships should be increased as per the number of students in the category. They threatened to stage protests for fellowships. ABVP CWC member Praveen Reddy, the organisation's GHMC secretary P Sri Hari, Vidyanagar Convener Suman, Shankar, Srisailam, Tirumalesh, Chinta Yellaswamy, Ramesh, Suresh, Ravi, Krishna Kishore, Naveen and others were present.
