Freshness zones at Annapurna canteens
Hyderabad: Freshness Zones have been set up at Annapurna Canteens by Cinthol Lime Soap with the help of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in various places of the city on Wednesday.
These freshness zones comprise a kiosk that let people wash their face and hands before they have their meals at Annapurna canteens. In its third week, freshness zones facility has been experienced by over 20,000 people and further expected to be used by 20,000 people more in the coming two weeks in Hyderabad.
These freshness zones are shifted to different branches of Annapurna canteens every week reaching out to a wider audience. So far, five centres including Mathrushree Nagar, Miyapur Crossroad, Banjara Hills, Madhapur and Yousufguda have been covered.
Annapurna Canteens see an average daily footfall of 700 people per center as they provide safe and hygienic afternoon meals at just Rs 5 across its 150 centers in city. The idea behind these freshness zones by Cinthol Lime soap is to give a respite to the canteen visitors, who are usually commuting and may not get a chance to freshen up.
Visitors visiting these canteens are happy to see the freshness zones and appreciated the thought behind this noble initiative. People on the move usually scout for places to freshen up, with this facility they can access the freshness zone and also follow the traditional belief that one should freshen up by cleaning their face and hands before meals.
