High-decibel revelry at Uppal stadium

Uppal: All roads led to the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Sunday as the Sunrisers Hyderabad took on Royal Challenge Bangalore. In spite of Hyderabad Metro Rail increasing services and extending the operating hours, traffic blocks were witnessed between Uppal and Tarnaka. At the stadium, however, the excitement was at a high pitch as men, women and children dressed in Sunrisers as well as Royal Challenger T-shirts swarmed the place.

People sported logos of respective teams on their cheeks and a few wore decorative caps and feathers. Cries of "Sunrisers, Sunrisers" rent the air, but the home team did not live up to the expectations. Many youngsters who came to the stadium with huge banners of Virat Kohli were disappointed, as he got out in the covers to a brilliant catch by David Warner. Rooting for Sunrisers were a few girls who kept up the tempo till the end even realising that the team was to lose.
