Uma, a resident of Vinayak Nagar, said, "We are okay with giving them more amount but only when they collect the garbage regularly. There have been days when the garbage pickers have not come for days and even when they come, they do not collect the garbage properly and litter the wastes here and there."

Sanjay S, a resident of AS Rao Nagar, said, "I do not understand why we have to pay for the work which does not happen regularly. They come here after every alternate day. Even if we segregate dry and wet waste, they mix it up and throw it near a bin. When these garbage pickers do not come, we have to go and throw the garbage in the bins which is full most of the times."

K Aparna, a resident of Alwal, said, "The garbage pickers also ask for extra money during festivals. We are okay to pay the amount. Here, these garbage pickers do not come for three long days due to which the garbage gets piled up and creates unpleasant smell."

Mamata Sakar, a resident of Jeedimetla, said " If everything is increasing , how a common people can survive. Even garbage collection is not regularly happing near our area and they only come once a week and also dump the garbage in the open lands. Also during festivals we are forced to pay extra money.

"I am shocked to hear this news, why we should pay more money as they are not collecting garbage regularly. They only collect garbage in the beginning of month," said Kalpana , a resident of Bowenpally.

"I am ready to pay more money to garbage collectors only on one condition, if they come regularly and segregate the waste in proper manner," said Sirisha, a resident of Qutbullapur.
