Hyderabad: IGNOU regional centre holds convocation at Bhavanam Venkatram Auditorium

Jubilee Hills: IGNOU Regional Centre organised the 33rd convocation of IGNOU at Bhavanam Venkatram Auditorium, Dr B R Ambedkar Open University, on Monday.

There are around 2,31,573 successful learners across India who have been awarded degrees and diplomas across the country. At the regional centre, 1,437 learners were awarded degrees and diplomas. Around 150 students personally received the degrees on the occasion.

Prof T Papi Reddy, the Chairman of Telangana State Council for Higher Education, was the guest of honor at IGNOU Regional Centre, Hyderabad. After the presentation of the annual report by Dr S Fiayaz Ahmed, the Regional Director, Prof Papi Reddy addressed the graduates and lauded the efforts of IGNOU in promoting higher education in the state of Telangana. A request was made for allotment of land for the permanent building of IGNOU in Telangana and an appeal was made to the Chairman of Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

Dr K Ramesh, Deputy Director, Dr PM Sowjanya, Assistant Regional Director, Dr Raju Bolla, Assistant Regional Director, D Anand Reddy, Assistant Registrar and all the other officials of IGNOU Regional Centre participated in the 33rd Convocation of IGNOU.
