Hyderabad: It will be hotter today

Begumpet: The IMD has warned that the day temperatures on March 11 and 12 are likely to be above normal by two to three degrees Celsius at isolated places in the State.

The IMD bulletin said on Wednesday that the maximum temperatures in Hyderabad from March 11 to 16 would be 35, 35, 36, 36, 37 and 37 degrees Celsius respectively, with the outlook of partly cloudy sky towards afternoon of evening for the first four days.

On March 15 and 16 it would be partly cloudy sky. The corresponding night temperatures for the six days would be 21, 21, 21, 21, 22 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively.

At the State level, the highest maximum temperature of 38.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad – one degree more than the previous day – during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

The bulletin said the temperatures fell appreciably ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts. They were above normal by 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius in some parts and normal in many areas. They were appreciably below normal by 3.1 to 5 degrees Celsius in some parts.

According to the bulletin, the other day temperatures in the State were: Medak 37.8, Mahbubnagar 36.8, Nizamabad 36.3, Bhadrachalam 36.2, Hyderabad 35.4, Dundigal 35.1, Nalgonda 35, Khammam 34, Hakimpet 33.7 and Hanamkonda 32.5.

The night temperatures across Telangana were above normal ranging from 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius in some parts; normal in many parts, below normal in some parts and appreciably below normal by -3.1 -5 degrees Celsius in some other parts.

The lowest minimum temp of 17 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nalgonda. The other temperatures in the State were: Hakimpet 17.6, Dundigal 19.1, Medak 19.5, Bhadrachalam 20.8, Mahbubnagar 20.7, Hanamkonda 20.5, Hyderabad & Khammam 21.2 each, Nizamabad 22.1 and Adilabad 22.7.
