Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy, felicitated the winners at the 47th HMA Annual Awards function

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy, felicitated the winners at the 47th HMA Annual Awards function held here. HMA President Sanjay Kapoor and Immediate Past President Nagesh Vishwanatham, presided over the event. Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) was the first professional organisation to institute an annual award, 'Manager of the Year.' in 1973 to recognise a manager for his/her outstanding achievements as well as contributions to thier organization he heads. Since then, the number of awards has gone up to 12.

HMA has its presence in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It provides a platform for professionals, academia & management students to stay abreast of contemporary management practices and events shaping the profession and its emerging challenges.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on A Shyam Mohan, MD, Corporate Communication Systems India, and Past President of HMA. The Manager of the Year Award went to Saurabh Kumar, CEO, GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo. V Venkatram, MD & CEO, SeedWorks International Pvt. Ltd, won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and Prashanth Reddy, MD, Anvaya Kin Care Pvt. Ltd, Small Scale Entrepreneur of the Year, and Ranganath IVS, Head-HR of Shriram Bioseed Genetics, HR Manager of the Year.

Indian Immunologicals Ltd was honoured with CSR Award for the Year. The Women Achiever Award of Excellence for the Year was conferred on Suvarna Bhat, Founder & CEO, Inquisite Innovations P Ltd. The Academician Excellence of the Year Awardee was Prof B Raja Shekhar, Professor, School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad. Best Student Chapter of the Year went to GITAM Hyderabad Business School, while the Member of the Year was Sankara Venkata Krishna Prasad, Director & CEO, Cito Healthcare (P) Ltd.

The principal sponsor for the event was Union Bank of India and the associate sponsor was Continental Coffee. The five toppers of the Industrial Readiness Program's first batch received the certificates from BP Acharya, IAS (Retd). The 2nd batch will commence on January 23.
