Hyderabad: Ruling party at pains to explain progress of city
Hyderabad: Notwithstanding the claims of the TRS leaders that in the last six years they had changed the face of Hyderabad as never before, people continue to complain about lack of internal roads, improper street lights, non-clearance of garbage on regular basis, no proper drainage system and non-availability of drinking water on daily basis.
The heat is being faced more by the ruling party leaders since they had promised to attend all these problems during last elections of GHMC. The Deputy Speaker of State Legislative Assembly Padma Rao had to face the heat of the voters on Sunday. He was participating in padayatra seeking votes in support of Kandi Sailaja. The voters shouted at them saying how could they ask for votes when they failed to fulfil their earlier promises. In another incident, a group of residents of Sadashiv Nagar went to Pragathi Bhavan and demanded an audience with the Chief Minister saying that they want to submit a representation to him for two-bedroom houses. However, they were given an audience with the officials who took their memorandum.
