Implement RTE Act, demands Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad

Habsiguda: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took out a huge rally here on Friday, demanding implementation of Right to Education Act.

ABVP state secretary Ambala Kiran criticised the State government for neglecting education. "It has failed to regulate fees in private institutions. The Chief Minister failed to keep his electoral promise of KG to PG free education and is now, hand in glove with private institutions like Chaitanya and Narayana," he added.

The activists expressed their ire at KCR for spending crores of rupees towards construction of a new secretariat and not sanctioning funds for construction of residential school buildings. They threatened to stage protests all over the State if their demands are not met.

ABVP leaders Yella Swamy, Venkatesh Chary and activists in large numbers took part in the march.
