Kula Vivaksha Porata Sangham demands reservations in private sector

Baghlingampally: President of Kula Vivaksha Porata Sangham (KVPS) Bhaskar Skylab demanded a law to be enacted for SC, ST reservation in private sector jobs. He was speaking at press conference held at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on the completion of KVPS state committee meetings on Thursday.

Speaking to media, Bhaskar Skylab said that KVPS was planning to stage protests in August and September months demanding fulfilment of various demands given to dalits during elections in a phased manner and called upon dalit youth to participate in the protests in large numbers. He said that second KVPS state convention was successfully held on July 1, 2 and 3 at Turkayanjal of Rangareddy district.

The meeting unanimously resolved the following resolutions: three acres of land or financial assistance of Rs 21 lakh to every dalit family; double bedroom houses for all homeless dalit families; ban village development committees which social boycott dalits; development of dalit colonies with funds from SC corporation; demand for enactment of special law to protect inter-caste marriage couples; and other demands.

Bhaskar Skylab said that the new body of Dalit Socialist Mukthi Manch was formed at the state convention and a new committee comprising 65 members was elected in the presence of the national president K Radhakrishnan. Bhaskar has been elected as state president, CM Krupasagar as vice president, he said. Other members of the state committee include M Kurumaiah, Paladugu Nagarjuna, Manikyam, N Manohar Samuel, state joint secretary Suresh Kumar, R Mahipal, G Raju, K Vijay Kumar and three other cooption members.
