Mayor Bonthu Rammohan inaugurates breast cancer screening camp
The Mayor, DR Bonthu Rammohan appealed all the sanitation women workers to get body screening for breast cancer for early detection, if any, while inaugurating medical camp in Head Office, here on Wednesday.
GHMC along with the officials of the company explained about the medical device, which enables early detection of breast cancer, it can even detect for coming next eight years also. Based on the results and response, the facility would be extended to rest of the zones of the corporation, said the Mayor.
Speaking on the occasion, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar said the Breast Cancer was the biggest killer disease among the women. Providing the detect device can reduce the death cases due to Breast Cancer.
The Mayor appealed the women to utilise the advanced technology to detect the disease at early stage and take precautionary methods. Further, he said the wearable device for screening the disease would be made available to the poor at Basti Dawakhanas in near future.
Additional Commissioner Hari Chandana said the device was very simple every ordinary woman can take screening test, the Japan device was wearable, radiation free, no pain and no touch. Addl Commissioners Sandeep Jha, Shruthi Ojha, AMOHs and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
