Ministers Ch Malla Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav attend International Disabled Day in Jawaharnagar

Jawaharnagar: Ministers Ch Malla Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, besides ZP chairman Mallipeddi Sarathchandra Reddy, Uppal MLA Bethi Subash Reddy, Collector Dr M V Reddy, on Tuesday attended the International Disabled Day in the Disabled Colony here.

Addressing the gathering, Malla Reddy stated that the TRS government would always stand by the disabled. He said the disabled colonies were being developed as models by taking up repairs and providing drainage, drinking water and power supply.

Srinivas Yadav expressed happiness over holding of the celebrations in a disabled colony. He observed that disability should not be viewed as an impediment in life and calling for liberal service to the mentally and physically challenged persons.

He assured to launch a job training centre for disabled in Jawaharnagar, stating that a bus facility would be launched to the colony from Wednesday. Soon, the minister said houses would be allotted to the disabled.

The collector said many works were pending in the colony. Earlier, the guests inaugurated three reservoirs in Ambedkarnagar, Malkaram and Chennapur. Among those present were Grandhalaya Samstha Chairman Bhaskar Yadav, Market Committee Chairman Sunita, District Disabled Welfare Officer Swarooparani, District Rural Development Officer Jyoti, Municipal Commissioner Aruna Kumari, RDO Madusudhan, Kapra Tahsildar Nagamani, State Disabled Development Officer Simhadri, District Disabled Organisation president Durga Prasad and colony residents.
