Opposition condemns preventive arrests

Kukatpally: The opposition parties in the State decided to organize a demonstration in the city on Sunday protesting against the irregularities in Intermediate results which led to suicides of some of the sensitive students who were depressed. However, the government arrested all the important leaders of opposition on Sunday morning itself to prevent them from reach the protest site.

Among those who were arrested from KPHB division include Kodali Ravi Kumar from TDP, Katta Narsing Rao, SK Sattar, Sunil, Sheri Satish, Gali Balaji, Gandam Raju and Padmanabha Reddy from Congress and Preetam Reddy and Hari Babu from BJP.

Speaking to the media, during their arrest, the opposition leaders condemned the dictatorial attitude of the State government and this demonstrates impatience and inefficiency of the state government. The government has violated democratic principles by making preventive arrests of the opposition leaders, they said.
