Palle Nidra programme held in Chitkul

Chitkul: Film comedians Suman Shetty and Chitti Babu on Sunday asserted that Chitkul village would develop under the leadership of its young sarpanch Madhu Mudiraj, under the 30-day development programme as envisaged by the State government.

They were speaking along with Madhu Mudiraj after the 'Palle Nidra' programme and 'Shramdan' taken up as part of the 30-day programme in Chitkul, Muthangi, Rudraram, Isnapur accompanied by the respective sarpanches Upender, Sudhir Reddy, Balamani, Arisailam.

The film actors while taking up digging using tools called upon villagers to focus attention on cleanliness. They praised Madhu for taking steps to develop the village. 'It becomes clear how development could take place under a young sarpanch like Madhu', they stated.

Addressing the participants, Madhu praised the film actors for encouraging people to take up cleaning programme for which the village would be indebted to them. He took a pledge to contribute to the development of Chitkul, as envisaged by MLA G Mahipal Reddy and in accordance with the orders of the District Collector.

Madhu felicitated a resident, Raju, for personally removing the bathrooms of his house for road-widening work. He appealed to villagers to emulate Raju's example for contributing to the village development.

Among those present included special officer Suresh, Upasarpanch Vishnuvardhan Reddy, ward members, important village leaders, residents and officials of various departments.
