Peace contest brochure released

Bachupally: The brochure of International 'Peace Poster Contest' to be organised by Lions Club was released by P Sekhar Rao, former Vice-Chairman, Youth Affairs and Sports, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Dr S Malla Reddy, Kolan Hanmanth Reddy and others at a programme held at Bachupally on Wednesday.

Contest district co-ordinator Lion Satyavolu Rambabu of Satguru, the School of Arts, said that a painting competition would be conducted for children between ages 11 and 13 in different areas, by all the Lions Clubs of district, from October 24 to November 5.

Besides the first three winners, 10 consolation prizes will be awarded at Lions Club district level, 23 merit awards of worth Rs 8,05,000 at Lions Club international level and a Grand Prize of Rs 3,50,000 will be awarded to the winners. Lion M Prema Kumar, Dr M R S Raju, D Yella Subba Reddy, Prasad Naidu and other Lion Members participated in the programme.
