Pending Dharani files issue put Collector on wheels in Rangareddy
Rangareddy: Ahead of the State Assembly elections, there was a surge in the clearance of pending dharani files, particularly in Rangareddy district. The collector actively engaged in the process, frequently visiting various MRO offices to meticulously scrutinize the files in a calm and tranquil environment.
The district Collector Dr.S.Harish IAS, along with his team is visiting MRO offices especially in Rajendranagar reportedly to investigate the files properly under Dharani before approving them.
According to officials, the district collector and his team are said to have been clearing atleast 500 applications everyday under Dharani in a single sitting. On Thursday, he made a visit to MRO Office Rajendra Nagar along with his team and went into huddle for over three hours at the office mainly discussing the pending files.
This is not the first time when the official visited the MRO Office Rajendra Nagar. He often visits this office atleast twice a week to ponder over the files pending under Dharani,” said a senior official.
It is learnt that the collector is on a task to cut short the size of pending files and found MRO offices especially the MRO Office Rajendra Nagar a suitable place to ponder over pending pleas.
It was found that atleast 8-10 members of the team, mainly computer operators accompanied with collector going into huddle at MRO office Rajendranagar on Thursday. When enquired, an official said the Collector visit is aimed at addressing piled-up files under Dharani. He often visits the MRO offices having all required facilities to clear the files without disturbance which is quite impossible when he was in his own office at Kongarakalan.
When asked about how many files are being cleared at MRO office Rajendra Nagar, the official said “Atleast 500 files are being cleared at one sitting. The set of employees from computer operators to other subordinate officials sit together to pore over the files before endorsing them,” he maintained.
Affirming the same, another official said, “Having available in the office all the time makes it harder for the collector to keep some time out of the scheduled meetings with the visitors. It is against this reason the collector often took his team out of the office and cleared the files simply sitting at any of the MRO offices located quite away from the Collectorate Rangareddy.”
“We usually visit any of the MRO offices in the district once or twice a week to clear the files under Dharani. The whole process of clearance of the files depends upon the operating module available at the MRO office,” he added.
