Press Club announces photo contest winners

Hyderabad: Press Club Hyderabad conducted 3nd 'Photo Contest' on the occasion of the Club's Foundation Day celebrations here on Friday. A three-member jury comprising Nagesh Kumar, the former Resident Editor of The Hindu, Prof SK Rahman, Professor of Photography, JNFA, Hyderabad, and Acharya V Sathi Reddy, Head of Department of Journalism, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad, scrutinised the entries and selected the prize-winning pictures.

First, second and third prizes carry a cash award of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, and a memento. Winners of the Photo Contest are: KB Prasad Sakshi (first prize), Ch VS Vijaya Bhaskara Rao (second prize) and Bhaskar Reddy (third prize).

Ten consolation prizes are also given, with a cash award of Rs 2,000 each and a memento. The prize distribution function will be held at Press Club Hyderabad on June 9. Consolation prizes are bagged by KVS Giri, A Ramachandra Rao, V Peddi Raju, G Ramu, Gunti Vinod, J Azeez, N Rajesh Reddy, K Bajrang Prasad, A Yakaiah, S Ravinder.
