Revanth raises road closure issue in Lok Sabha

Secunderabad: Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy raised the road closure issue in the Lok Sabha on Friday. He said that more than 10 lakh commuters were facing severe hardships ever since the Local Military Authority (LMA) closed the gates.

He further said that in some areas of the cantonment, schoolchildren were being put to a lot of inconvenience as they have to take a longer route due to closed roads.

The MP drew the attention of the Speaker as well as the Defence Minister and requested for a solution to the problem. He said that the LMA opens the roads only for a few days in a month and on some occasions, even morning walkers were stopped and questioned.
