Save the Young Heart 5K Run poster unveiled at Gachibowli

Gachibowli: Save the Young Heart Foundation in association with its partners announced its third edition of 5K Run on September 29 to celebrate 'World Heart Day.' Over 100 volunteers of the organisation launched the poster at Gachibowli stadium on Tuesday. They said people interested in participating in the run can contact on 7995260934 or visit Bookmyshow or MeraEvents websites to register for the run.

The run is scheduled to start from Gachibowli stadium on Sunday at 6 am. Dr Anand Agarwal, Senior Cardiac Surgeon, the Founder of the Campaign, said the event aims at creating awareness among the public regarding heart disease and to encourage everyone to be more conscious for a healthy heart.

Malla Reddy, Minister for Labour, Employment, Women and Child Development, will be the chief guest at the event. Ranjith Reddy, MP, Arikepudi Gandhi, MLA, and film producer Dil Raju will be the guests of honour. More than 3,000 participants from different spectrum of society are expected to take part in this event.

Dr Anand Agarwal says: "The objective of Save The Young Heart Foundation is to prevent the sudden and premature cardiac diseases. It is a matter of concern that the cardiac issues are becoming more common in young people. It is important to create awareness about the changes that are necessary for healthy living. Lifestyle modification is very important to achieve this goal."

This year, the 'World Heart Day' is being celebrated with the theme of 'Heart Hero,' by making a promise – a promise to make a simple change for your heart health.
