Sewage overflow at Madura Enclave

Alwal: The residents of Madura Enclave Colony have been facing a serious sewage water overflow problem from the past two months. This has resulted in water logging and it is causing a lot of inconvenience to the locals over here.

K Thrishank, a local, said due to extensive waterlogging, the mosquito menace has increased in this area and also the foul smell emanating from it is unbearable. He also said that they had made several complaints to officials concerned but no action has been taken to lay the sewer line despite repeated reminders.

Keeping this issue in mind, the officials should repair the drainage pipelines. Because of poor construction of sewage chambers frequent blocking is taking place in the pipeline and hence overflow is causing a problem over here. They must take up this perennial problem and chalk out a proper plan to improve the drainage system in this area, urged the local people.
