Support swelling for RTC employees stir
Bagh Lingampally: Various speakers at a meeting organised by RTC SC/ST Employees Welfare Association at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram expressed their solidarity with striking RTC employees on Tuesday.
They emphasised that public sector plays crucial role in the livelihood of BCs, SCs and STs. Noted social activist JB Raju, RTC JAC convener Ashwathama Reddy, co-convener Raji Reddy, former MP Vivek, former MLC Ramulu Naik, Lambadi Hakkula Porata Samithi founder Bullaiah Naik and other SC, ST leaders attended the meeting.
The speakers expressed their concerns over CM KCR's alleged attempts to privatise RTC, which would have immense impact on the livelihood of BCs, SCs and STs who mostly depend on the public sector companies such as RTC for their sustenance.
They demanded that the government call the RTC employees for talks to resolve the strike before the situation turns worse. They warned of intensifying the strike in the coming days. RTC JAC leaders said that they were planning to organise a huge public meeting on October 30.
