Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav in a press conference here on Wednesday slammed the BJP leaders for roping in national leaders for GHMC polls in the Hyderabad city. He accused them of resorting to false information campaign in the polls that as many as 40,000 Rohingyas were living in the Hyderabad city.

"What for are Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and Smriti Irani coming to Hyderabad. What is the BJP regime in the Centre doing if there are many Rohingyas in the city," he said, asking the BJP leaders to refrain from such nefarious designs to spread hatred and communal strife.

Talasani further sought to know if Union Minster of State for Home G Kishan Reddy was speaking truth on the issue. Why didn't the Centre give flood relief funds after two months of appeal by the state government. The minister asked the BJP to desist from disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in Hyderabad just for the polls. He slammed the BJP state president Bandi Sanjay for his remarks of 'surgical strikes' on Old City.

"Despite its false promises, the BJP will not win the polls. The TRS welfare programmes will get the ruling party seats to retain the Mayor's post and surpass 104 seats mark. The manifesto released by Congress is impossible to implement," he opined.
