TS Govt schemes hit by lack of funds: TDP Saibaba

Update: 2019-06-05 02:07 IST

Musheerabad: Contradicting the statement made by KCR during the state formation day celebrations that several welfare schemes initiated by the state government have been points of discussion across the nation, TDP leader Saibaba said that most schemes and development programs had been stalled due to paucity of funds. Even after five months of its formation, the state government had failed to give pensions to widows, disabled people and lonely women.

Saibaba accused the state government of backtracking on their promise of debt exemption to farmers. He alleged that the state government was planning to limit debt waiver to the loans below Rs 1 lakh. Due to shortage of funds, the scholarships and fee reimbursements had not been paid to colleges for the last two years.

Arogyasri and EHS dues also piled up due to shortage of funds, he added. TDP activists Praveen, N Kishore, Ravinder, Katta Ramulu, Nagesh, P Ashok and others were present on the occasion.
