TSRTC employees stage hunger strike

Musheerabad: Demanding that the State government fulfil their demands, RTC employees of Musheerabad RTC depot 1 and 2 embarked on a one-day hunger strike in front of the depot on Thursday.

Extending support to striking employees, CPM leaders DG Narsimha Rao, M Dasharath and CITU state leader Eshwar felicitated the protesting RTC employees by garlanding them and formally announcing the start of fast.

Speaking on the occasion, DG Narsimha Rao condemned the hostile attitude of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao against striking RTC employees. He said that the RTC strike no longer limited itself to RTC but has become a public movement. He alleged that the CM has no respect for courts. Narsimha said that KCR has been isolated as entire opposition and people's associations extended their support to RTC employees.

Among those who participated in hunger strike include CPM leaders G Ramulu, Vani, Sriramulu, Ramesh, Vimala, POW leaders Jhansi, Surya of IFTU, Narhari of SUCI, Padma of IFTU and others.
