TSRTC staff protest for merger with govt
Secunderabad: In response to the call given by central committee of Telangana Mazdoor Union for statewide protests, the RTC employees staged protest before Picket depot on Tuesday, demanding the merger of RTC in government, along with other demands.
Speaking to media during the protest, the protesting employees expressed their anguish at the delay in the implementation of pay scale revision, which has been pending since 2015. The employees alleged that the management has been showing negligent behavior and not making any due payments to employees.
While the neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh has already implemented the pay-scale revision, the TS government has kept it pending since 2015, they lamented. They demanded the managements to fill all the vacant posts and to take measures to reduce their workload.
They warned of an intense agitation if their demands are not met at the earliest. TMU president of Picket depot MS Reddy, TMU leader K Narsimhulu and others were present on the occasion.
