Women's seminary to hold meet on Sunday
Moghalpura: The 28th annual day function and one-day state level ijtema (conference) of women of Jamiatul Mominath, an Islamic religious school, will be held at Royal Function Hall in Kotla Alijah on Sunday. This will be attended by TS Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Hazrat Maulana Mufti Qasim Misbahi from National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL), Delhi as chief guests.
During a press conference held at Jamiatul Mominath in Moghalpura, the head of the school, Dr Mufti Hafiz Mohammed Mastan Ali said that the Jamiat is celebrating 28th annual day and one day state level ijtema starting from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm on Sunday. "In this ijtema most eminent scholars and muftis of Jamiatul Mominath and the scholars from different states will be addressing the programme and this will be an opportunity for women to learn basic tenets of Islam," he said.
The program will start by the Qirat and Naat-e-Shareef (Recitation of Quran and poetry in praise of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad). On this occasion, a total of 350 students of the seminary will be awarded degrees and the toppers of the last academic year 2017-2018 of each department will be awarded silver medals.
Mastan Ali also informed that other topics which would discussed in ijtema are about purification of hearts and our responsibilities, hospitality (treating of guests) as per Islam's perspective, women's wear and elegant according to Islamic perspective, past, present and future of women, marriage and our society, zakat and our responsibilities, education debates and fiqhi muzakiraat, uses of cell phones, social media and its harmful effects and moral training of girls.
The scholars and muftis addressing this program are Dr Muftia Rizwana Zareen (Principal and Shaik-ul-Hadees, Jamiatul Mominath), Dr Muftia Nazima Aziz (Shaik-ul-fiqh and Head Muftia Jamiatul Mominath), Alima Shakeela Kouser from Kashmir, Alima Uzma Parveen from UP, Dr Muftia Rabia Basri from Nalgonda, Dr Muftia Syeda Ghousia Shahed from Adilabad, Dr Muftia Mutahhar Sultana from Bhongir, and many more. Hafez Muzaffer Hussain Bandanawaz will also be addressing the gathering.
The basic purpose of the institution is to educate girls and the housewives in the Madarsa (Islamic seminary) premises by conducting ijtemaaths, seminars, conferences etc., and to eradicate illiteracy from Muslim community. Jamiatul Mominath organises weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly ijtemaaths.
Jamait was established in 1991 by Dr Mufti Hafiz Mohammed Mastan Ali with the strength of 5 girl students. Now, after 28 years, more than 2,500 girl students are seeking education in different departments of this university and among them 300 students are availing of hostel facilities of the university and they belong to various districts of the Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kashmir, Kerala, Assam, MP, UP and Bihar . It also has vocational courses like tailoring, computer, calligraphy and graphic design and mehndi design.
