Zoo staff bid warm farewell to Ramu

Bahadurpura: Nehru Zoological Park (NZP) has bid farewell to 'Ramu', the male one horned Rhinoceros born at the same zoo in 2015.
According to zoo authorities, after the exchange, NZP now has one female and 2 male rhinoceros left. As part of animal exchange programme approved by Central Zoo Authority, in exchange for one horned male rhinoceros and Mouse Deer to Vandalur Zoo in Chennai, NZP will be getting a pair of Hippopotamus, a pair of Nilgiri Langur, a pair of Swamp Deer, and a pair of Grey Wolf.
The NZP officials headed by the Deputy Director (Veterinary) are accompanying the rhino to Vandalur zoo, Chennai. They will bring new animals as part of exchange next week.
