Visakhapatnam: Govt will ensure a home to every homeless, says Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao

Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao distributing house site pattas to the beneficiaries in Visakhapatnam on Friday 

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's goal is to provide a home for every homeless poor in the State, said Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao here on Friday.

Participating in the house sites distribution programme at Valimeraka village in Pendurthi mandal, the Minister said the government is transparently distributing house pattas to 30 lakh people across the State. He handed over the house pattas to the beneficiaries.

The Minister said women were given top priority in doling out welfare schemes. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector V Vinay Chand said 2.96 lakh people have been granted house sites in Visakhapatnam district.

Pendurthi MLA A Adeep Raj said 7,042 houses in Pendurthi have been sanctioned.

Earlier, Minister Srinivasa Rao unveiled a statue of former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the venue. Anakapalle MP B Satyavathi, Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy, SDC Suryakala, RDO Penchala Kishore and others participated in the programme.
