Woman commits suicide over husband's harassment in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: A 19-year-old woman has committed suicide over unable to bear the harassment of her husband. This incident has taken place at Kadugondanahalli in Bengaluru.
The deceased identified as V Thasmiya, the daughter of Vazeer Shariff (55), who is a resident of KG Halli. In this context, she made friends with Rafiq (26), which developed in a love affair.
Eight months ago, she left the house, got married to Rafiq. Both started a new life in a rented house at Doddanna Layout in Venkateshapuram.
After she has gone missing, the worried parents searched for her in the surrounding areas but couldn't trace her, and they remained silent without filing any police complaint.
Recently, she approached the family members and narrated about the harassment of her husband. She disclosed that he suspected her fidelity and used to assault her regularly.
The house owner noticed her hanging to the ceiling fan has immediately brought her down and rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared already dead. With this, he informed Thasmiya's parents that she had committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan.
On receiving the complaint from the deceased family members, the police have registered a case, arrested the accused and sent him to the judicial remand.
