Delhi Elections 2020: Focus On Key Candidates

New Delhi: Aas voting progresses at a brisk pace and with 1.47 people set to cast their votes in the national capital on Saturday, here are some of the key candidates in the fray.

• Arvind Kejriwal the AamAadmi Party (AAP) chief leads from his party from the front and is the candidate from New Delhi constituency. The contest between Kejriwal, BJP is Sunil Kumar Yadav and Romesh Sabharwal of the Congress is seen as a no-brainer.

• Kejriwal's deputy, Manish Sisodia is in the race from Patparganj constituency and is again seen as a sure winner. He is up against Ravi Negi of the BJP.

• AAP's Satyendra Jain is another heavyweight from the party contesting from the Shakur Basti constituency. He takes on Dev Raj Arora from Congress and SC Vats of the BJP.

• The Model Town constituency will see a fight between BJP's Kapil Mishra who was formerly with the AAP, Akhilesh Pati Tripathi of AAP and Akansha Ola from Congress.

• Tajinder pal Singh Bagga, BJP's spokesperson is in the fray from Hari Nagar constituency in the national capital. AAP has fielded Rajkumari Dhillon while Surinder Sethi from the Congress is in the electoral fray from this constituency.

• Somnath Bharti, AAP's sitting MLA is seeking re-election from Malviya Nagar in the capital. He is up against Neetu Verma of the Congress and Shailender Singh Monty of the BJP.

• Alka Lamba of the Congress takes on Prahlad Singh Sahni of AAP and Suman Gupta of the BJP from the Chandni Chowk constituency.

• AAP's National spokesperson, Raghav Chadha is contesting from the Rajendra Nagar constituency. The BJP has fielded RP Singh while Congress' Rocky Tuseed is in the fray here.

• Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely is in the fray from the Gandhinagar constituency and will be fighting Anil Vajpayee of the BJP.

• AAP's prominent Woman leader, Atishi Marlena is contesting from the Kalkaji constituency. She will be taking on Shivani Chopra of the Congress and Dharamvir Singh of the BJP.

• Amanatullah Khan of AAP is seeking re-election from Okhla and is being seen as the favourite to win the seat. The Congress has fielded Parvez Hashmi. BJP's Bhim Singh Bidhuri in the Okhla candidate in the electoral fray.
