Karnataka Trust Vote: Ban imposed on public gatherings as tensions rise
Bengaluru: Congress and BJP supporters got into a scuffle as the workers ruling coalition tried to take away two Independents to the state assembly ahead of the trust vote. The two leaders, who were supporting the alliance government of the Congress and HD Kumaraswamy, have now switched sides and are expected to vote for the BJP in the trust vote scheduled to happen this evening.
The two were kept at Bengaluru's Race Course Road near Vidhan Soudha. This afternoon, many Congress workers got to their location to coax them to vote for the coalition.
The BJP workers already at the location disagreed and the two groups started fighting. The police intervened and put things back in order.
The trust vote has been pending since last week.
