Mayor opens Spoorthi Kendram

Kakinada: Mayor Sunkara Pavani said that apart from solving public issues, the state government has planned and arranged cultural programmes to provide a lighter atmosphere in the state.

She inaugurated the Janmabhoomi Spoorthi Kendram (Janmabhoomi Inspiration Centre) and cultural events organised by the Department of Culture and Information and Public Relations departments at Rajah Tank here on Tuesday evening. The Mayor explained that the aim of Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu was to make the state happy. 

“The state government is observing Happy Sunday and cultural events at Araku, Visakhapatnam and Kakinada for this very purpose,” she added.

She informed that cultural events would be performed every evening here at the Spoorthi Kendram from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Later, the students in the dance team of noted dance teachers, Satyanarayana and P N Murthy performed traditional dances. They performed Vinayaka Stuthi, Brahmanjali, Bala Gopalam, which enthralled the audience.

Later, Thota Murthy and team performed a leather puppet show. Rajahmundry Vijaya Sankara Music College principal, Prasanna Kumari and Municipal Corporation officials participated in the inaugural event.
