Civic chief promotes Janmabhoomi
Rajamahendravaram: Commissioner of Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC), V Vijayarama Raju has said Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme was a great podium for the public to get their issues resolved. “Officials from various departments come to the people through this programme,” he said.
Participating in the Janmabhoomi programme in the 25th division here on Thursday, he said that the government was implementing many welfare schemes for the people. Urging people to utilise this opportunity, he said, “houses would be sanctioned to the eligible beneficiaries under various housing schemes and people are advised to submit their applications in any one place.”
RMC officials would verify the credentials of the applicants to weed out any fake beneficiaries. Swachh Survekshan programme is under progress in the city, and a team from New Delhi would visit shortly to inspect works relating to Swachh Survekshan to assign grades accordingly.
Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai said many development activities were under progress in the city for three years when compared with last 10 years. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to clear the problems reported in the programme.
Sub-Collector C Saikanth Varma said many were applying for widow pensions, old age pensions, handicapped pensions, houses and house sites, all of which would be sanctioned upon furnishing the necessary documents.
