Scouts, Guides selected for R-day march-past

Guntur: District Educational Officer, RS Ganga Bhavani has said that the students who participate in the Republic Day celebrations will feel secular and develop their leadership qualities. 

Addressing a meeting held in Guntur in connection with selection of Scouts and Guides for march-past during the Republic Day celebrations, she said that special training would be given to the selected candidates on January 14.

“The selected students would participate in the January 26 Republic Day Parade in which Governor ESL Narasimhan would participate,” she added while appreciating the students selected for the march-past.  Over 200 guides and scouts participated in the selections. Narasarapet Guides Captain, Santa Kumari and selection committee chairman, Nageswara Rao were at the event.
