Ration cards, houses for eligible households
Ongole: Prakasam District Collector, Vadarevu Vinay Chand and Ongole MLA, Damacharla Janardhana Rao, announced that all eligible families would be sanctioned ration cards and houses.
The Collector and the MLA participated in the fifth round of Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme in the 28th and 29th wards. The Collector announced that by Sunday, the district administration received 36,000 applications from the public and they were being entered into the 1100 Parishkara Vedika.
He said that the programme aimed to redress nonfinancial issues immediately. “The solutions for the long-standing issues need few days time to get the budget approvals,” they stated. He said that the Chief Minister was keen to complete the Veligonda project and announced that the government would release water from the project by completing the first phase by June this year.
MLA Janardhana Rao announced that Ongole town would be developed as a Swacch town and requested for public cooperation. He said that the CC roads and underground drainages would be constructed to maintain sanitation. He assured the public that the corporation would provide drinking water daily by completing the pipeline project from Gundlakamma on a Rs 124 crore budget.
The people who bought DKT land plots were asked to visit the special counter in Tahsildar office to get pattas registered on their names. The MLA and the Collector distributed the assets under various schemes, ration cards, scholarships, Chandranna Bima claims to the beneficiaries in the programme.
