Yadavs demand priority in govt services
Ongole: The Akhila Bharata Yadava Mahasabha held its district committee meeting in the Yadav Bhavan in Ongole on Sunday. The committee, presided over by the district president, Botla Ramarao, passed resolutions, demands and announced to take forward an agitation to achieve them.
The demands include that the government nominate a Yadav as MLC, as promised by the TDP president, Chandrababu Naidu during the 2014 elections. “The TDP should give priority to Yadavs in nominated posts. Chandrababu Naidu should keep his 18 promises made on July 9, 2012 including 100 MLA seats to BCs, 33.3 percent reservation in legislative houses, constitution of Yadav Corporation with Rs 2,500 crores and increase the BC reservations up to 55 percent as per the population ratio and BC Corporation should ground all applications from Yadavs,” said Ramarao, listing the association’s demands.
Ramarao said that the committee has taken a decision to seize the TDP office soon in order to demand the ruling party to keep the promises made by Naidu to give the promised MLC, nominated posts and priority to the Yadavs in the state. The Mahasabha vice-president PLP Yadav, state general secretary Kathari Sankara Rao Yadav, district general secreatary Challa Raja Dhanavarma and leaders from 12 assembly constituencies participated in the meeting.
