DRUCC member inspects railway works in Tanguturu

Tanguturu: The Vijayawada Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) member, Botla Ramarao inspected the ongoing betterment works at Tanguturu railway station and assured that the problems of railway passengers in the district will be taken to the notice of the DRM and will be resolved soon.

After inspecting various works at Tanguturu railway station, Ramarao instructed the contractor and engineering officials to improve the quality of the works. He said that MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has taken the issue of ROB at 193 level crossing gate to the notice of the railway board chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav already, a favourable order for it will be received soon.

Responding to the request of the passengers, he said that he had already received an assurance from the DRM to arrange a railway reservation counter at Tanguturu railway station. He announced that the DRM has also promised to increase platform lengths, foot over bridge and a new building after the completion of the ongoing third line works.

He said that a DRUCC meeting is scheduled for August 28 and he announced to request the DRM to allow a stop at Tanguturu for the Pinakini, Hyderabad, Chennai expresses and newly introduced Gudur to Vijayawada intercity train.

He said that he will also ask the DRM to take up the works of already sanctioned RoBs at Agraharam Railway gate in Ongole, Pakala railway gate, Surareddy palem railway gate immediately.
