APTF members stage dharna

Kakinada: Seeking the removal of wacky rules in municipal teacher’s service and asking permission to open the GPF accounts, the Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) members staged a dharna at the Corporation Office here on Friday.

Speaking on this occasion, the APTF members demanded that the government replace the upgraded Pundit and PET posts only with the promotions. They also wanted the government to open new schools in the newly established colonies in the corporations. 

The members also said that the government should allow transfers within the district as well as in the inter-district-level. They urged the government to release the outstanding DA with interest to all the municipal teachers in the state. 

 Later, the APTF district president N Philip Raju, associate president J Mohana Rao and general secretary KS Subrahmanyam submitted a memorandum of demands to corporation Additional Commissioner Y Srinivasa Rao.
