Aryapuram Bank centenary celebrations begin

 Rajamahendravaram: Aryapuram Co-operative Urban Bank Chairman, Challa Shankar Rao, inaugurated the centenary celebrations of the bank, by launching the celebration logo along with bank directors.

Speaking to reporters at the bank branch, he said the bank came into existence in the year 1918 under the great leadership of Seripella Visweswara Rao.

It was decided to organise the centenary celebrations on a large scale in August this year and they had planned to inaugurate the bank's newly constructed three storied building with the Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

The bank has about 90,000 customers in the state with deposits reaching Rs 946 crore. It was targetted to increase the deposit base to Rs 1,000 crore. The bank is functioning as per the guidelines of Reserve Bank of India.

“The bank is in core banking system and ATM facility which is accepted by the ATMs of all commercial banks,” he added.Bank vice-chairman Ayyala Gopi, diretors Y Rangababu, Ayyala Gopi, N Venkata Ramana, S Srihari, M Madha Rao, P Syam Kumar, secreatary G Sudhakar Rao, assistant secretary K Nageswara Rao were present at the celebrations.
