Kailash Reddy Memorial volleyball tourney from Jan 26

Guntur: M Kailash Reddy Memorial All India Invitation Volleyball Tournament will be held in the NTR Municipal  Corporation Stadium in Guntur city from January 26 to February 2.

Addressing a press meet, MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy said that a total 14 teams would participate in the tournament including six women teams. Prizes worth Rs 10 lakh would be given to the winners and runners in the tournament. First prize would be Rs 1.5 lakh. Players from various states are expected to participate in the tournament. Over 8,000 audience were expected to watch the tournament, he said.

He  informed that they were making arrangements  for the players who participate in  the tournament. They would be provided free boarding and lodging facilities. The government was giving top priority for sports, he added. Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh ODS Rama Krishna, Arjun award recipient A Ramana Rao were among those participated in the press meet.
