State gets raw deal again: YSRCP

Update: 2018-02-03 04:51 IST

Rajamahendravaram: YSRCP city coordinator Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao has said that the Central government cheated Andhra Pradesh without sanctioning any funds in the 2018-2019 general budget. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu should also own the responsibility in this regard, who was sailing with BJP.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, he said all this happened as the Chief Minister failed to question Central government and suppressed the agitations of opposition parties. He also mortgaged the interests of the state at the feet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and failed to mount pressure on him to get funds.

“Though the CM met Prime Minister Narendra Modi 43 times during previous four years, there was no use. Naidu should feel shy in this regard,” he added. The YSRCP leader accused CM of playing dual role with regard to funds release, Special Category Status etc, because of his problems at the Central government. Now, he was asking MPs of TDP and BJP to mount pressure on the Central government to get funds, which is nothing but a funny act.

YSRCP Rajamahendravaram Greater president Kandula Durgesh said the PM had kept aside Polavaram Project, Amaravathi and Visakhapatnam railway zone though the CM repeatedly raised the problems during meetings with the former. Naidu was responsible for all the mess and how can he face the people in the state.

Demanding TDP MPs to resign immediately, he assured that the YSRCP would also extend its support to the state government in this regard. Naidu had cheated people by supporting BJP once again, he alleged. YSRCP leaders M Sharmila Reddy, B Srihari and others were present.
