Kanumuri Venkata Narasimharaju statue unveiled
Akiveedu: Zilla Parishad chairman Mullapudi Bapiraju has said that development is possible only through education only.
He unveiled the bronze statue of Kanumuri Venkata Narasimharaju at Zilla Parishad High School in I Bhimavaram village in Akiveedu Mandal on Sunday. Kanumuri Venkata Narasimha Raju has donated the site to the High School in the village over the two-and-half- decades ago. On the occasion of completion of 25 years, the bronze statue of Narasimharaju was unveiled by the ZP Chairman.
Speaking on the occasion, ZP Chairman said that there were plenty of philanthropists in Undi constituency and more people had donated sites to establish schools in the constituency. He said that the Zilla Parishad would establish digital classrooms in all government schools in the district. He said that each digital classroom costs Rs 50,000 and government would bear Rs 25,000 for the classroom. The remaining amount would be donated by philanthropists. He said the digital classrooms would be made available by April 25, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's birthday.
TTD former chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju, Undi MLA Vetukuri Sivaramaraju, Bhimavaram MLA Pulaparti Ramanjaneyulu, Akiveedu AMC Chairman Motupalli Prasad, Undi AMC chairman Samba Raju, DCCB Chairman Mutyala Venkateswara Rao, Sarpanch Lakshmi Parvati and others participated.
