Collector inspects trekking arrangements at Kondapalli
Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham has said that trekking would improve mental pleasure and advised the youth to participate in sports like trekking.The Collector, along with other officials visited Kondapalli reserve forest hill near Mulapadu and inspected the arrangements made for trekking on Sunday. The trekking competition was scheduled to be held on February 25.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that trekkers and interested participants should gather at Mulapadu Cricket Stadium and reach Kondapalli reserve forest Anjaneya Swamy Temple, where the trekking begins.
A special programme would be organised at Anjaneya Swamy Temple on the occasion. Ministers, participants, students, youth, officials and others would participate in the programme.
Later, trekking competition would begin, he added.About 150 participants are expected to participate in trekking. The officials were ordered to arrange T-shirts, caps, breakfast for the participants, along with drinking water facility and a first aid camp.
APNGO district president A Vidyasagar, DFO Benergy, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan PO KDVM Prasad Babu, Tahsildar K Venkata Sivaiah, MDO Srinivas Reddy, Trekking trainees Prasad, Varma and others were present.
