Chitra Kala Santha bringing artistes on one platform
Vijayawada: About 250 participants and artists from fine art institutions and universities and others from various parts of India will participate in the third Andhra Pradesh Chitra Kala Santha, a national exhibition and sale which is scheduled to be held at Kaladarshini (Andhra Loyola College) from 7 am to 9 pm on March 4.
Telugu World Artist Art Society (TWAAS) will organise the expo promoted jointly by the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Prakash Arts, according to the TWAAS secretary, Balayogi.
Artists from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and other parts of India would exhibit their paintings and art work at the expo. About 250 stalls would be opened and paintings of all categories would be on display. Each painting would range between Rs 500 to Rs 50,000.
The TWAAS joint secretary, K Srinivas said that Chitra Kala Santha was organised with the inspiration of ‘Chitra Santha’ Bangalore, and to transform the upcoming capital city of Vijayawada as ‘Art Centre’. A painting competition would be held for children and youth between 8 am to 10 am on March 4, he added.
