Accolades to Chitra Kala Santha
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao has appreciated the arrangements made at Chitra Kala Santha. The Speaker was the chief guest at one-day National Chitra Kala Santha organised by Telugu World Artist Art Society (TWAAS) promoted jointly by Department of Language and Culture Government of Andhra Pradesh and Prakash Arts at Kaladarshini (Andhra Loyola College) here on Sunday.
The Speaker admired the organisers and the participants and said that he had not seen such a big expo even in Hyderabad and told he would think of organising the expo for 2 to 3 days, he said. TWAAS secretary Balayogi said to transform the upcoming capital city Amaravati as Art Centre, big events like Chitra Kala Santha should be organised to attract people from all parts of the country. This was the third time the expo was organised.
About 225 participants from various places across the country participated in the expo, he said. The participants would sell the creations for lesser price. Painting competition was held for school children and college students, and winners were given prizes. More than 5,000 art lovers visited Chitra Kala Santha.
