No water scarcity in summer, says MP

Bhimavaram: Rajya Sabha Member and TDP West Godavari district committee president Thota Sitaramalakshmi has said that the Telugu Desam Government is committed to the welfare of the people. She laid the foundation stone for water filtration plant sanctioned under AMRIT scheme second phase at Head Water Works at Vendra road here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the Government had taken all steps to supply drinking water to the people during summer. She said Bhimavaram Municipality had also taken up steps to supply protected water to the citizens and there would be no scarcity of water during summer.Later, she laid the foundation stone to Multipurpose Community Hall to be constructed with Rs 25 lakh. The funds were allotted from MPLAD scheme.

Bhimavaram MLA Pulaparti Ramanjaneyulu, Municipal Chairman Kotikalapudi Govinda Rao, Vice-Chairman Mudnuri Suryanarayana Raju, Mente Pardhasaradhi, AMC Chairman Kolla Nageswara Rao, Vice-Chairman Chellaboyina Subba Rao, Municipal Commissioner Ch  Naga Narasimharao participated in the programme.
