IPM donates washing machines to govt hospital

Rajamahendravaram: International Paper Mills (IPM) has donated two washing machines to Government Headquarters Hospital here on Thursday.

Participating in the programme, Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) Chairman Ganni Krishna said that IPM donated the two washing machines at a cost of Rs 13 lakh. He assured to extend his help for the development of the hospital and advised the doctors to provide quality medical aid to the patients.

Hospital medical superintendent Dr T Ramesh Kishore said the IPM had also arranged a cooling water plant with Rs 70,000. The two washing machines can wash about 500 bed sheets per day. ONGC also came forward to donate an amount of Rs 19 lakh for the development of the hospital and 150 beds and 50 bed sheets would also be purchased with the funds of ONGC. IPM general manager Madhusri, senior vice-president Prabhakar and others were present.
