ANU English dept celebrates golden jubilee
Guntur: Acharya Nagarjuna University Vice-Chancellor Prof A Rajendra Prasad, has said they have made changes in English teaching in the university and expressed his happiness for working with Prof DVK Raghavacharyulu. He addressed a meeting held on the ANU premises on Saturday on the occasion English department golden jubilee celebrations. Speaking on this occasion, he wished that this department would achieve development.
Prof Ratnasheela Mani said that for the first time, they conduced international symposium under the aegis of English department. Later, they felicitated Prof Krishna Sarma and Prof Saraswati. Coordinator Karuna said that those who studied in English department had settled in good positions. Later, cultural programmes were held.
Later, speaking to media, Rajendra Prasad said that they would conduct training classes on Research Methodology and R Programming. He informed that so far 334 students registered their names to attend the classes. He said that International Students Cell would conduct training classes to them in the university. He said that they had divided students into two divisions and made necessary arrangements to impart training to the students.
International Students Cell director GVSR Anjaneyulu also spoke. Later, they appreciated the engineering students who selected for Japan visit and handed over flight tickets to the students.
